Description
1935 San Diego California Pacific Expo 1/2 Dollar-Sized "Gold" Token MS64. This souvenir California gold-style token was issued for the California -Pacific Exposition held in Balboa Park, San Diego in 1935. This is the same fair the 1935-1936 San Diego commemorative silver halves were issued. The token is gold plated brass. The obverse depicts the fairgrounds and the California Tower. The reverse has a similar bear design to the 1932 Olympics discus and runner tokens and the Bay Bridge token. It is a very scarce token, and few have been offered for sale recently (none currently on eBay). It has been graded by ANACS as MS64. See photos for details. Shipped by first class mail.
