Metcal CV-5210 Soldering Station w/ 4 tips
My MX-5200 was stolen so I bought this unit on the assumption that all my regular MX-series tips would work with it but I read it wrong; the CV tips will work in an MX iron but not the other way. So I bought another MX and need to sell this one.
The difference between the MX & CV is that the CV has a sensor in the tip for "connection validation," that is, it will tell if the solder joint is good or bad. The CV also has a color touch screen display. Otherwise the CV is the same, with 80W of power and the ability to run 2 irons at the same time. When I got this unit I plugged it in and used it a couple of times until I realized my MX tips won't work. So it's had a total of about 2 hours use with one tip; the other 3 tips are unused.
Rear label says this can be used worldwide: 100-240vac & 50/60 Hz. Power cord is for USA but power cord port is common IEC.
