The Aqua Lung UV-Shirts with sun protection factor UV50 consist of 80% polyester and 20% spandex. The polyester ensures that the colors do not fade. The rashguards can be worn in the water as well as on land. They protect against the UV radiation from the sun and against injuries by marine life. They can also be worn as an additional layer under the Aqua Lung wet suit. The athletic cut is designed for diving and water sports: the back is slightly longer than the front, the collar protects the neck from sunburn while snorkeling and there is a loop on the waistband that can be attached to board shorts or swimming trunks
